Outdoor Ice Skating

When the weather allows, there is ice-skating at several Milwaukee County Parks. Many of the rinks have warming houses. Warming house hours vary. Ice on lagoons must be 6 inches thick in order to be open for public skating. Pay attention to "Thin Ice" signs.

Frozen Lagoon Rinks & Lake Park's Land Rink
General hours: M-F 3-8 p.m., Sat. & Sun. 12:30-8 p.m. when conditions permit

Locations marked with a "*" have designated areas for hockey practice when conditions permit
Rinks are only open when the ice has thickened to a safe depth. Pay attention to "Thin Ice" signs.

  • Humboldt,* 3000 S Howell Ave - Closed until further notice due to thin ice (2/9/09) 
  • Jacobus, 6501 W Hillside Lane - Closed until further notice due to thin ice (2/9/09)
  • Lake Park (land rink),* 2975 N Lake Park Rd 
    General hours: M-F 3-8 p.m., Sat. & Sun. 12:30-8 p.m.
    Hockey: 8-10 p.m. only
