10-27-09 Fatal Crash

 

 

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on northbound I-43 north of West Brown Street just after 7 p.m. Monday night. When deputies arrived on the scene, they observed a 2000 Gold Jeep Cherokee on its roof. The passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Lakisha Alexander, was ejected from the vehicle. An off duty fireman and paramedics performed CPR but efforts to revive Alexander were unsuccessful.

 

An investigation indicates that the driver of the Jeep Cherokee, 35-year-old Kerry-Ann Taylor, was traveling on NB I-43. As she attempted to exit at North Avenue, Taylor lost control of the vehicle. It rolled over several times. Lakisha Alexander was NOT wearing a seatbelt and as a result, was thrown from the car.
