10-31-10 Southeast Multi-Jurisdictional HVE OWI Task Force Arrest Totals
From 8PM Saturday, October 30 to 4AM Sunday, October 31, in an effort to make Milwaukee County a safer place to drive, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force conducted an enforcement operation targeting drunk drivers. The task force, which is comprised of local, county, and state police agencies arrested 20 people for operating while intoxicated.
The following agencies participated and made the corresponding arrests in this operation:
- MCSO - 7 - Glendale-0, - Wauwatosa - 0
- South Milwaukee - 0 - West Allis - 3 - Cudahy - 5
- St. Francis - 0 - City of Menomonee Falls- 1 - City of Elm Grove - 0
- Franklin - 0 - Town Of Brookfield - 1 - City Of Brookfield - 2
- Bayside – 1
Other statistics of note:
· The average prohibited alcohol concentration was .14
· A total of 144 citations were issued, which included speeding, unsafe lane deviation, keeping open intoxicants, and operating while revoked / suspended / without driver’s license, and not wearing a seat belt.
Since the creation of the SE Multi-Jurisdictional OWI Task Force (April 2009), the task force has removed 1,166 drunk drivers from the roadways.
