New Employee Orientation

  • The New Employee Orientation (NEO) is your gateway into discovering more about starting your new career with Milwaukee County. The NEO's objective is to welcome all new hires and provide them with the information they need about working for Milwaukee County so that they can be most effective in their new role.  

  • All new Milwaukee County employees, with the exception of Seasonal hires, attend a centralized, full-day New Employee Orientation (NEO) on their very first day of work. 

  • The 'NEO' is held every other Monday and coincides with the beginning of a pay period. 



-  Attending NEO:

  • Your supervisor will arrange for you to attend a New Employee Orientation (NEO) before your first day of work.

  • You will be notified of the specific date and time of your NEO in your offer letter, and you will also recieve a NEO invitation; be sure to carefully review your offer letter and invitation and follow all of the instructions

  • For your information, the 2015-2016 schedules are listeed below:


-  Milwaukee County Identification Card:

  • On your first day of work, as part of the NEO, you will have your photograph taken and a County ID badge will be created for you

  • All employees of Milwaukee County must wear and display their identification badge while at work
