Nature in the Parks

"If you're thinking one year ahead...plant a flower.
If you're thinking ten years ahead...plant a tree.
If you're thinking fifty years ahead...educate the children."

Children of all ages experience what it means to be a part of the natural world through energetic and fascinating programs held in Milwaukee County's parks, green spaces, and schools. All programs are led by professional naturalists, are age-appropriate, and are based on state curriculum standards. Nature in the Parks also provides Boy Scout and Girl Scout programming year round.

Nature in the Parks, the outreach arm of the Wehr Nature Center, is a cooperative program of the Milwaukee County Park System, the Wehr Nature Center, and the Milwaukee County Office of the UW-Extension.

To learn more about the programs, visit the Nature in the Parks website. With this link you will leave the Milwaukee County Parks site. The NIP site will appear in a new browser window. To return to this page, simply close the NIP window.
