T he mission of the Milwaukee County Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture, which
represents what we do best as an organization and what we believe will continue to define us
five years from now, is:

Our vision statement expresses what our department looks like when our strategies and
actions outlined in this strategic plan are implemented to achieve our full potential. Our vision,
our desired future state is:

Our values, which demonstrate our beliefs as individuals, as a department, and through the
culture we create in partnership with our workforce, our citizens and our partners, are:
