New Program Starts February 27, 2012
Master Naturalists are a special group of certified naturalist volunteers involved in a variety of projects and activities in Metropolitan Milwaukee. You may choose the Teaching Track or the Citizen Science/Community Service Track.
As a Teaching Naturalist, you might educate the public about energy conservation, nature, and/or environmental issues. You may teach at the Wehr Nature Center or at an outreach site, such as a school, library, festival, or County Park.
Citizen Science/Community Service Track
As a Citizen Science/Community Service Naturalist, you might be involved in collecting data on a project such as "Worm Watch" or Wisconsin's Ephemeral Pond Monitoring Project. You might also help with land management activities such as invasive plant species control or prescribed burns of the prairie.
