Theodore Lipscomb was elected to the office of 1st District Supervisor in a very unique write-in election on April 1, 2008. The first district includes most of the City of Glendale and a significant portion of the north side of the City of Milwaukee. Supervisor Lipscomb serves as Vice-Chairman of the Economic and Community Development Committee and also serves on the Health and Human Needs Committee and the Personnel Committee.  He is the Financial Secretary for the Milwaukee Public Library Board of Trustees and serves on the Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation Board of Directors and the East Wisconsin Counties Railroad Consortium.

 

Supervisor Lipscomb is a graduate of Marquette University High School in Milwaukee and an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Certificate in Urban Planning. His studies included time abroad at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England and Paris as well as independent study and research. He has continued his education with further graduate level studies in real estate finance and law as well as completing various professional certifications.

 

Supervisor Lipscomb brings his many years of experience on housing and economic development issues to the County Board. Outside of his County Board duties, he maintains part-time involvement in real estate, which helps to ensure that he is up-to-date on current events and trends in the industry.

 

Supervisor Lipscomb and his lovely wife, Nicole, are the proud parents of three children and reside in Glendale.  Both Supervisor Lipscomb and his wife are lifelong residents of Milwaukee County and have lived in the 1st District for more than 27 years.
