The Milwaukee County Jail Records Office is located on the ground floor of the Criminal Justice Facility at 949 N 9th Street. The Jail Records Office handles requests for inmate information on the telephone and in person. They also assist in processing bails. The Records and Identification Section and Warrants Desk are located adjacent to the Jail Records Office. Telephone Calls Outgoing: Inmates may make collect telephone calls. These calls are restricted to 15 minutes. Incoming: Inmates do not receive incoming telephone calls. Emergency Messages: Only messages that can be verified by Jail staff regarding serious illness or death in an inmate's immediate family will be forwarded to an inmate. Law Enforcement: Calls from law enforcement agencies may be directed to the Jail Records Deputy or Sergeant. Mail Inmates may receive letters, non-polaroid photographs and cashier's checks or money orders through the mail.
