Milwaukee County DBE Goals for United States Department of Transportation Assisted Projects Federal Fiscal Years 2012-2014

 

Milwaukee County has formulated its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals for United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) assisted projects for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) beginning October 1, 2011 and ending September 30, 2014.

 

The County proposes to contract out to DBE firms an overall goal percentage of 16.02% of Federal Transit Administration funds.

 

The goals and description of the methodology used to determine them are attached and is available for review.  A hard copy of the document is also available for inspection during normal business hours at the Community Business Development Partners Office located at 2711 W. Wells Street, City Campus, Room 830, Milwaukee, WI 53208.

 

Following is the report which was submitted to the Federal Transit Administration on August 1, 2011 as required by 49 CFR Part 26.

Milwaukee County Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Goals for United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Concession Opportunities Federal Fiscal Years 2012-2014

 

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

In accordance with USDOT Regulations, Milwaukee County has established goals for participation by certified Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) firms on the County’s anticipated airport concession opportunities for Federal Fiscal Years 2012-2014.

 

The County anticipates new concession opportunities at General Mitchell International Airport over this 3-year period to include a specialty retail lease that will be solicited via request for proposal late this year, and 5-year car rental leases that will be solicited via request for proposal during 2012 to begin January 1, 2013.

 

The County has set the following goals for ACDBE participation:

  • Car Rental:  4% of funds anticipated for goods and services
  • Food & Beverage contracts: 25% of anticipated revenues
  • Retail, News & Gift contracts: 21% of anticipated revenues

 

The overall ACDBE goal for non-car rental concessions is 20.4%.  The overall ACDBE goal for car rental concessions is 4%.

These are overall ACDBE goals.  If, and/or when, opportunities arise, goals will be modified accordingly per 49 CFR Part 23.
