Information Management Services Division


The Department of Administrative Services – Information Management Services Division (DAS-IMSD) objectives are to support Milwaukee County's 21st century technology needs and lead the development and execution of an IT strategy that accelerates Milwaukee County's leadership in the state



IMSD's mission is to collaboratively develop and provide secure, cost-effective solutions that meet the needs of Milwaukee County government and its citizens.



IMSD includes six sections that provide services in support of the technology functions for Milwaukee County:

  1. Administration and Business Development
  2. Application Development
  3. Technical Services
  4. Personal Computer Support
  5. Radio Services

Administration and Business Development is responsible for business development, project management, fiscal services and administrative support.  Application Development is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, management, and support of countywide software.  Technical Services provides research, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and support services for countywide telecommunications, data network infrastructure, server, and storage.  Personal Computer Support is responsible for first and second level technical support, software management and installation, and mobile device administration.  Mainframe is responsible for administration, maintenance, and support of the County's enterprise mainframe server.
