It's a day just for the birds and birders! Learn more about our fine feathered friends.

Meet some live birds, play the bird beak game, and talk to experts to learn how to turn your yard into a bird haven. Experts from Birds Without Borders, the Wisconsin Humane Society, Wild Birds Unlimited, the Center for Avian Rehabilitation and Education, as well as other local bird educators, will be on hand to teach about a range of birding topics.

During the Open House, there will be guided hikes for birders of all ages and levels of experience and an opportunity to learn the latest about bird research and conservation. Kids can make a bird feeder (small fee), dissect an owl pellet (small fee), and join in a family bird walk. There will be birding supplies for sale, as well as refreshments.
