Mary Neubauer, MSW, CPS
Mary is currently Co-chair of the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force representing this group on the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Care Administration, Concordia University - 1993, Master of Arts Degree in Social Work, UW Milwaukee- 2006 and Certified Peer Specialist – 2006.
Mary has advocated for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders for over three decades at the local and state level. She is currently a member of the Milwaukee County Aging and Disability Resource Center Governing Board, Vice chair for the WI Council on Mental Health, Legislative and Policy Committee, WI Recovery Implementation Task Force, WI Trauma Informed Care and Person Centered Care-Champion, WI Medicaid Mental Health Drug Advisors Group, Milwaukee County Redesign and Implementation Task Force, Milwaukee Co-Occurring Competency Cadre and various BHD committees since 1993.
Mary has been on her recovery journey for 31 years as an individual living with both mental illness and alcoholism. She is employed by Community Advocates where in 2006 she created their Peer Specialist Program at Autumn West, a Safe Haven for individuals that are homeless and living with a mental illness.
