Community Linkage and Stabilization Program (CLASP)


CLASP is designed to support individuals who are on the path of recovery. CLASP focuses on person-centered planning and utilizes trauma-informed care. CLASP is a strengths-based and culturally intelligent program designed to support individuals through the use of Peer Specialists who offer their lived experience, strength and hope to inspire and empower consumers in their own recovery.

Milwaukee County BHD contracts with La Causa to provide these services.




o   At least one OBS/Acute Inpatient admission at Milwaukee County BHD

o   Milwaukee County Resident

o   Lives with a mental health diagnosis.

o   A willingness to engage in a supportive recovery environment with a Certified Peer Specialist and the CLASP Team, including the Supervisor and Clinician. 

CLASP is a voluntary program. Participating in CLASP includes having bi-weekly contact with the Certified Peer Specialist in person and contact by phone other weeks. Consumers should have the ability to maintain a contact number.
