Join members of the Wehr Astronomical Society for deep sky viewing and solar viewing with telescopes provided by club members. You are also welcome to bring your own binoculars and telescopes.

Solar Observing at Wehr Nature Center
June 16, 2012,
2-6 p.m.
Join members of the Wehr Astronomical Society for an afternoon at Wehr. Presentations consist of general astronomy information and telescopic observations. Sessions are cancelled if skies are totally overcast or high winds are present at start time.

Special Event: Venus Transit Viewing
June 5, 2012, 4-10 p.m.

Using special solar filters for eye protection, see Venus pass directly between the earth and the sun. It appears as a small dot gliding slowly across the face of the sun. The next opportunity to see this event is in 2117!
