Deanna Alexander was re-elected 18th District Supervisor on April 5, 2016 and represents about 52,000 residents in Milwaukee’s northwestern corner, which borders Waukesha, Washington, and Ozaukee Counties.

Deanna grew up in southeastern Wisconsin.  She studied Accounting and Business Management at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Public Administration at the graduate level at Regent University and Taxation at the University of Denver.  Deanna has also served as an enlisted soldier in the Wisconsin Army National Guard with Milwaukee’s 57th Field Artillery Brigade.

Prior to her election to the Board, Deanna gained professional expertise in public accounting, auditing, municipal treasury, research, and training.  She previously worked in the Fiscal Department of the Behavioral Health Division and has the distinction of being one of the few Milwaukee County employees to be elected to the County Board.  Deanna currently works with the state’s Department of Children and Families, overseeing major components of the Child Protective Services and Foster Care system serving Milwaukee County.

Supervisor Alexander currently serves on the Intergovernmental Relations Committee, the Health and Human Needs Committee, and the Judiciary, Safety and General Services Committee.  She is also the Chairwoman of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Council and a former member of the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council.

Deanna and her husband own a home in the Park Place neighborhood and are the proud parents of two daughters. They are hoping to expand their family soon through adoption. Deanna enjoys scrapbooking, kayaking and home renovation projects.
