Changes to Child Support Related Fees

Effective January 1, 2008

 

 

The State Budget Bill recently signed into law by Governor Doyle includes a new annual collection fee and an increase in the receiving and disbursing fee.

 

Recipients of child or family support shall pay an annual Collection fee of $25.00 pursuant to s. 767.57(1e)(c), Wis Stats., to be deducted from child or family support, maintenance, or arrearage payments after the first $500 is collected for the year.

 

The receiving and disbursing (R&D) fee for child support will be raised from $35 to $65.

 

 

In addition, the 2008 Milwaukee County Budget includes the following fee changes:
